MintLabs

Where weird ships—games, experiments, and creative builds.

What is MintLabs?

MintLabs is MintLoop's experimental playground. It's where we build things without worrying about product-market fit, revenue models, or growth metrics. Some projects are useful. Some are just fun. All of them teach us something.

We believe that creativity needs space to breathe. Not every idea should be stress-tested against a business plan before it gets built. Sometimes you just want to make something weird and see what happens. That's what Labs is for.

Occasionally, a Labs experiment turns into something bigger. Lucky Numbers started here. But even the projects that don't "graduate" have value—they sharpen our skills, spark new ideas, and remind us why we started building in the first place.

Who It's For

  • People who appreciate weird, fun projects
  • Developers looking for open-source inspiration
  • Anyone who believes not everything needs to monetize
  • Curious minds who like to see how things are built

How We Build

Fast and loose: Labs projects don't need perfect architecture. We ship quick prototypes and see what sticks.

Open when possible: We try to open-source Labs experiments so others can learn from (or laugh at) our code.

Fun first: If we're not enjoying the build, we stop. Life's too short for joyless side projects.

Learning always: Every experiment teaches us something—new tech, new patterns, new mistakes to avoid.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these real products?

Some are (like Lucky Numbers). Others are experiments, demos, or just things we built to learn. We're transparent about the status of each project.

Can I use or contribute to these projects?

Many Labs projects are open source or will be. Check our GitHub for available code. We love contributions and feedback.

Why build things without a business model?

Because learning is valuable. Because creativity needs outlets. Because sometimes the best ideas come from play, not profit planning.

Do Labs projects ever become real products?

Sometimes! Lucky Numbers started as a Labs experiment and is now one of our most-used tools. Good experiments can graduate to real products.

Got a Weird Idea?

We love hearing about strange projects. Even if we can't build it, we might be able to help you think it through.
